Live Music Series and “The Greenest Show on Earth”

Along with continued listings for this popular new exhibit, Cindy Ladage wrote in Illinois Times on May 22, 2008 that a trip to Chicago could turn into memories for your children. She suggests hopping on the train and heading for Garfield Park Conservatory. One of the events highlighted in this article is Garfield’s “Chicagoasis: The Greenest Show on Earth,” which features the Sheeleah plant from Brazil.
On May 27, 2008 Newcity Chicago featured another live music event in Chicago this summer: Garfield Park Conservatory’s “The Legacy Music Series: A Celebration of Diversity in Music,” beginning June 19, 2008 with the Dongfang Chinese Performing Arts Association. President Eunita Rushing hopes to make this the beginning of a year-round collaboration between visitors, music and the beautiful gardens.
